Richard V. Andelbradt

Richard, "Andy" had just retired from YRC.  He was with Roadway before the merge and had worked for CF before that.  I wasn't able to find any pictures of "Andy" so if you have one please send it.

He gave safety seminars for CF for quite awhile - I think he taught new drivers the ropes and held seminars/classes for seasoned drivers as a "brush up" course. CF offered him a job holding safety seminars for them instead of driving and he turned them down - he loved the road. He drove over 8 million miles in his 45+ years, with no accidents or citations.  He lost his battle with congestive heart failure.  He loved driving and seeing the country and if his health hadn't forced him to retire, he probably never would have.  He never even saw his first pension/retirement check.

William James Sullivan

SULLIVAN William J. William James Sullivan, 55, of Swanton, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, with his loving family by his side after a brief illness. Born in Toledo, OH on April 2, 1956, to Charles and Margaret (Lohberger) Sullivan, Bill a 1974 graduate of Cardinal Stritch High School will be best remembered for his strong work ethic and dedication to the service of others. Bill worked many years as an over-the-road semi truck driver, most recently for Roadway YRC Freight. He had previously worked for Air Liquide/Praxair, Johnson Controls, Vroman Foods, and The Toledo Blade. His work ethic was driven by his dedication to his children so that they may be given the opportunity to experience life in the fullest. The full scope of his service to others is immeasurable. Bill volunteered countless hours to The Toledo Seagate Food Bank, The Nature Conservancy, and to the service of those in need. His greatest passion was for the restoration and protection of nature. Those who knew Bill knew he seemed more comfortable when he was volunteering for The Kitty Todd Nature Preserve than he did in his own home. Many individuals came to know and love Bill because he gave up his personal time to help them by cutting and splitting firewood to help heat their homes during the winter or through many other selfless acts of kindness. Surviving Bill are his three children, Patrick, Kelly (Matthew Melchior), and Kevin; his previous wife, Laura Janis; sister, Meg Sullivan; brothers, Mark and Mike Sullivan, and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Charles, and his sister, Diane Sullivan. His family feels Bill passed far too early to fully enjoy the fruits of his labor for himself. For this reason, his family asks that those who knew Bill take the time to enjoy their lives and take pleasure in the beauty of the natural world he dedicated a great deal of his life to preserve. Family and friends may visit on Sunday, February 12, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) Millbury, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday morning at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Historical Church, 130 Avondale Ave. Toledo, OH. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Kitty Todd Nature Preserve 10420 Old State Line Road, Swanton, OH 43558. Finally, the family would like to thank and recognize the caregivers at St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center who cared for Bill in his final days. Dr. Shehadeh, Dr. Tita, Dr. Jamal, Dr. Katragadda, an Dr. Mahajan for their diligent monitoring of Bill's health and kindness. Jean RN-1B for her compassion and attentive care. The nurses of 4C who are too many to name, each of you cared for Bill as if he was a member of your own family. Collectively, you have all made this difficult period easier on Bill and those who loved him. We are forever grateful and in your debt.
